23snaps is on track to become the household name for saving and sharing family photos

15 APRIL 2014, LONDON, UK

The UK based private photo sharing network for families is becoming one of the most popular photo journal applications for parents around the world. Since their launch in June 2012, 23snaps has surpassed 500,000 users across 179 countries, with a growth rate of approximately 20% month on month. The service is completely free, and has become very popular with parents of young children, seeing a new photo or update shared every second. 23snaps also sees an engagement rate of approximately 90%, which compares with Facebook’s 10% for individual posts.

23snaps allows parents to privately save photos, videos and updates about their children in an interactive online journal, that can be shared securely with close friends and family anywhere in the world. March 2013 saw the launch of 23snaps’ most unique new feature - Stories. Stories allow parents to combine multiple photos and text to create multimedia vignettes of family memories. A single photo or video update can lack the ability to fully capture the significance that many precious family moments hold. Stories solves that problem by better mimicking the way that families share memories and tell each other stories.

April 15th also marks the launch of the first localized version of the 23snaps app. Portuguese speaking families in Brazil now have access to a version of the service in their native tongue. Meaghan Fitzgerald, CMO for 23snaps, says “We chose to bring 23snaps to Brazil because of the highly social and family-oriented culture that prevails in that part of the world. We hope that Brazilian families will embrace the service.”
